Unit weight scales
The piece weight scale is used for dynamic weighing of rubber strips in tire production.
By means of the specific weight and other parameters such as material density and strip width, the thickness of the material strip can be calculated during the running process and the process can be controlled according to the specified tolerances.
The piece weight scale ST3,6/600 consists of:
- Weighing belt
- Load cell
- Light barriers
- Base frame
- Control system
- Weighing terminal
Technical data of the scale terminal:
- 24V DC power supply
- Analog scale connection Weighing capacity 40kg / division 10g
- Weight/operator guidance display with 10g digit increment
- Interface RS232
- Field bus gateway RS HMS Anybus-S-ControlNet adapter
- Bus interface RS485 to control the relay coupling
Advantages of the KESTERMANN solution
- Shift-independent compliance with specified tolerances
- Guarantee of the precision required in tire production
- Optimization of material usage

Metre weight scales
The meter weight scale has the ability to weigh uncut material strands inline in the process and thus control production.
At any time, a material strip of exactly one meter is on the scale, so that a quick production correction can be made directly downstream of the extruder.
The MG 1000 meter scale consists of:
- Roller conveyor
- Ground and balanced ALU precision rollers in smooth-running design with adjustable adjustment rulers for aligning the rollers.
- Force absorption
- Mechanical stop against 10-fold overload by means of adjusting screws.
- Underframe
- Rectangular tube construction, welded in painted finish.
- Scale terminal
Technical data of the scale terminal:
- 24V DC power supply
- Analog scale connection Weighing capacity 20kg / graduation 5g
- 2x20-digit weight/operator guidance display with 5g digit increment
- Fieldbus gateway RS232 HMS Anybus-S-Controlnet adapter
- RS485 interface to control the relay coupling
Advantages of the KESTERMANN solution
- Shift-independent compliance with specified tolerances
- Guarantee of the precision required in tire production
- Optimization of material usage
